Community Services Projects

Sign which reads "Volunteers welcome. Please check at office."Do you need volunteer hours for school or community service hours for boy scouts, girl scouts, or 4H? Would your baseball, soccer, volleyball, football, lacrosse, or cheerleading team like to get involved? How about your drama club, Future Farmers of America (FFA), band, or choir? Volunteers of all ages are needed to help clean up Stanwood; these projects work well for groups and families and can be done off-site. Eagle Scout and Gold Award Girl Scout projects welcomed.

Volunteers must sign either an Individual Volunteer Agreement (PDF) or be part of an organization which will submit one Organizational Agreement (PDF) for the entire group. View the Volunteer Handbook (PDF) for more information.

Adopt-a-Street

Join active volunteer groups who clean up the city streets of Stanwood. The mission of the Adopt-a-Street Program is to promote civic  responsibility and community pride as well as to enhance Stanwood’s quality of life through clean streets and beautiful neighborhoods.

Adopt-a-Park

The adoption program engages community members who want to help care for their public green space. Adopters volunteer their time and resources to provide general care and maintenance of these parks.

Clean Sweep

Clean sweep happens every spring, come drop off your garbage, recyclables, and donate gently used items to Goodwill, then stay awhile and help your neighbors clean up litter around town.

Court Diversion

The city has opportunities to fulfill court ordered community service hours.
