Welcome to the City of Stanwood

Stanwood has everything you need combined with the rural ambiance you desire. Stanwood is the northern-most city of Snohomish County, and is the only community servicing Camano Island, a "bedroom community" west of Stanwood. It continues to grow which translates to more services and more business opportunities, while maintaining its small town atmosphere.

Training Exercise Reminder:
There will be a large Fire & Law Enforcement training exercise in Stanwood on the 13th and 14th of March (Saturday & Sunday) between 8 AM and 1 PM.
The exercise site is east across the tracks from the Amtrak passenger platform.

Motorists on 271st St NW between 84th Ave NW (Florence Rd) & Pioneer Highway may find traffic slowed by traffic control personnel. Stanwood residents & motorists passing through the City may see a large amount of fire & EMS equipment. THIS IS ONLY A TRAINING EXERCISE.

For safety reasons, the exercise site is closed to the public. The Amtrak platform & passenger trains are not involved in the exercise.
This is only a training exercise. Neighboring residents & businesses are asked not to call 911 to report the exercise activity.

Questions about the exercise may be directed to the Stanwood Police Department at 425.388.5290 or the Stanwood Fire Department at 360.629.2184.
