PASSPORT NOTICES Current Passport Application Current Processing Times The City of Stanwood is an acceptance agency for the U.S. Passport Services. You can apply for a passport Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 4:30pm. For additional information on applying for a passport, visit www.travel.state.gov . How to Apply for a Passport:
To apply for a passport you will need to bring documentation of citizenship and identity. All documents must be originals and are submitted with the application. They will be returned with your passport.
For children under 16, both parents must be present. Please read the special requirements for minor children: www.travel.state.gov You will need the following: Proof of Citizenship: (one of the following): Certified Birth Certificate Previous US Passport; Naturalization Certificate, Consular Report of Birth Abroad; or Certificate of Citizenship. Proof of Identity: (one of the following) Previous US Passport; Certificate of Citizenship; Naturalization Certificate; Current & valid driver's license; or current military, government ID. Passport Photo Requirements: This must be a 2" x 2" color photo. The photo must meet very specific requirements, so we recommend having them done professionally. Photos can be taken at most photo finishing facilities and the local copy centers. The Application Fee: Two separate payments are required. The application fee must be a check or money order made payable to Department of State. This is submitted with each passport application. The processing fee can be cash, check or money order made payable to the City of Stanwood. (Sorry, no credit cards). For applicants 16 and over: $110.00 check or money order payable to Department of State; $25.00 to City of Stanwood. For applicants under 16: $80.00 check or money order payable to Department of State; $25.00 to City of Stanwood.
